Eduloco X Plymouth University: A Partnership Geared Towards Sustainability In Higher Education

KUALA LUMPUR, 28.6.2021 – Eduloco has stepped up as a recruitment platform to support the global movement towards sustainability with Plymouth University.

Based in England, Plymouth University is recognized as an innovative leader for sustainability in higher education. Their education system is research-intensive and well-established in sustainability practices, experiential education and civic engagement.

Professor Judith Petts, Vice-chancellor of Plymouth University, stated that the university was so much more than a degree-awarding academy.

“We are drivers for economic innovation and advancement, catalysts for social change and champions of cultural development,” she said.

The university empowers students to conduct key research projects on creating awareness for environmental sustainability and conceiving solutions for conservation efforts. As acknowledgement of their work, they were awarded the Queen’s Anniversary Prize three times for the following achievements; the discovery of microplastics, conservation solutions for the global marine sector, and widening access to education in rural communities.

Eduloco strongly believes that sustainability is the forefront for change. With an alarming rise of environmental issues such as global warming, water pollution and deforestation, the recruitment platform is joining hands with the institution to drive students to be a stimulant for environmental change.

“We believe that partnering with an institution that empowers sustainability is a great investment in helping students to be the leaders of tomorrow and achieve a greener, sustainable future,” Thalia Bondoc stated, project manager of Eduloco.

With a ranking of the Top 25 in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, Plymouth University continues to advance knowledge and transform lives through teaching and research in sustainability education.
