The American Degree Program (ADP) is a program offered by private institutions to prepare students for entry in American universities. If you are someone who is planning to move to the United States of America in the near future and need a foundation to help you fit in the culture and or study in universities there then you may need to prepare and take this course.

The preparatory program is to help students understand the culture, language and academics. It helps you understand and provides you an experience American education. ADP students get an advantaged that they will already be enrolled in a degree right after SPM. This is a great advantage because it is time efficient and it lets you focus on important matters.

Who does not fit the American Degree Program?

Crammer: In some occasions cramming can be pulled however in this case for ADP it cannot. As it grades you at every stage of the program therefore cramming the night before would really affect the income of your results.

You Prefer Exam Based Programs: This program rely more in classroom activities and extra-curricular programs, so if you are a student who want a focused exam bases degree then this is not the program for you.

What are the requirements to study IT?

A-Levels :Minimum 2 passes in the relevant subjects

STPM :Minimum 2 passes in the relevant subjects

SAM :Tertiary Entrance Rank of 70 and Grade B in 2 of the relevant subjects

UEC :Grade B in 6 of the relevant subjects

Canadian Pre-University (CPU) :Average of 70% in 6 of the relevant subjects

What skills do you need for an IT course?

Tech Savy: You have to love computers and technology in general to get into this subject. To be successful in IT you have to know how devices such as computer works.

Visionary: Many problems can rise up in IT such as malfunctions, viruses and bugs and as the IT student, you need to vision what upcoming problems will come up in order to prevent it.

Patience: Learning how to code, fix a laptop or program something does not happen over-night. You learn these concepts for months with practical training. You have to have the patience to not lose motivation and get easily bored.
