Prospective students can now apply instantly to different universities and programs in the UK, US, Canada, Australia, Ireland, Switzerland, and more.

KUALA LUMPUR – Eduloco, a Malaysia-based educational technology platform, launches its featured beta mobile application this month, as part of its mission to make studying abroad simpler and more accessible for prospective students. The Eduloco beta app is an extension of its existing platform for student recruitment to pursue overseas higher education, which links students with universities, provides comprehensive guidance, and offers instant eligibility.

What was traditionally a six-to-eight-month process of applications and admissions to study abroad can now be accelerated with the Eduloco beta app. With the ability to identify and recommend programs and universities that the student user is eligible for, the Eduloco app minimizes rejections and allows applications to be processes automatically without the cost and hours associated with connecting students, universities, schools, overseas education agencies, and counsellors.

“The launch aligns with our goal in the ed tech sphere to build not just a product but an ecosystem of studying abroad,” shared Thalia Bondoc, CEO and Co-Founder of Eduloco. “The Eduloco beta app is designed to provide end-to-end support, ensuring students continue to have a positive and fulfilling study abroad experience following their arrival. Users can arrange for student accommodation, receive guidance for visa applications and be incentivised for every referral upon successful enrolment.”

Students can continue to reap the benefits while at university by participating in Eduloco’s generous rewards program, which channels their commission back to students by converting test scores into cash or vouchers. By rewarding students and encouraging them to celebrate their study abroad experience, Eduloco offers an alternative model that breaks conventions by sharing revenue and channelling it back to their purpose – the students themselves.

“Eduloco is the brainchild of my own tumultuous study abroad experience. Our student centric platform, now accompanied by the beta release of the mobile app, disrupts the system, propelling the overseas higher education application process forward into aligning with our increasingly digitalized society,” continued Thalia. “The journey towards making education overseas more welcoming and truly accessible is exciting and promising, and we will continue to rally resources into developing this platform for the new generation of students.”

Running in parallel with the launch, Eduloco is pursuing pre-seed or seed funding at a valuation of USD 2.7 million, with a focus on San Francisco and Singapore VCs. It will also be joining Antler in its accelerator program in Q4 2022. A current partner of edtech unicorn ApplyBoard, Eduloco has more than 30,000 community students enquiring to study abroad within their network of over 2,000 global university partners.

The Eduloco beta app will be available for download on Google Play and the App Store from September 2022 onwards. For more information on Eduloco, visit www.eduloco.com. Prospective students can also check out Eduloco’s Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more updates.
