About Campus

UNISEL was established on 23rd August 1999 with the State Government’s intention to make Selangor the leading regional education hub. The university is a private and state-owned high-level instructive institution in  Selangor that plays an active role in the delivery of higher education programmes in order to enhance the development of human capital excellence.

Thus, as one of the earliest private institutions of higher learning in Malaysia, UNISEL is unique as it is Malaysia’s first state-owned university.

The primary campus is located at the 1,000-acre learning centre at Bestari Jaya and the city campus was founded in Shah Alam. To this day, UNISEL’S community ceaselessly develops with a growing number of 10,000 understudies enrolled.

Campus Information

UNISEL was formerly known as Universiti Industri Selangor. It was established on 23rd August 1999 and was approved under Private Higher Education Institutions Act 1996 (Act 555) on 14 March 2000. We are currently operating two campuses:  the sprawling 1000-acre Main Campus in Bestari Jaya and the City Campus in Shah Alam.

  • The main campus in Bestari Jaya has programmes specializing in Education and Social Science, Communication, Visual Art, and Computing as well as Engineering and Life Sciences.

  • The city campus in Shah Alam centers its programmes on Business, Accountancy, and Health Sciences as well as Graduate Studies.

At UNISEL, we see it as a need to keep students feel right at home. The institution offers different distinctive homes to extend your choice of comfortability.

44 lofts are suitable for 5,000 understudies with a lodging of 862 units that is appropriate for understudies looking to form modern companions and share. Most importantly, the homes offer additional civilities and are not restricted to clothing benefit, cafeteria, 24 hours security, scaled-down bazaar, and more!
