The University of Cyberjaya holds a 5-Star (Excellent) rating by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education under SETARA. The University was also recently awarded a 5-Star rating for Teaching, Facilities, Employability and Inclusiveness under the QS Stars programme produced by the publishers of the QS World University Rankings.

 

According to the Times Higher Education, the University of Cyberjaya ranked Top 600 in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2020 for their social and economic impact, based on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

About Campus

The Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences (CUCMS) is a certified private university located in Cyberjaya, Malaysia’s first smart city. CUCMS was given the 5-star ranking by the Malaysian Certification Agency in its quest to be a distinctive international organization that develops qualified health professionals who are mentally, emotionally, and spiritually healthy. ​

 

The university’s commitment is to the students’ future and this is reflected in how they deliver quality education. The teaching model is based on personal participation and group engagement in problem-based learning sessions to enhance positive teamwork and leadership. With a holistic learning experience that emphasizes self-reflection, peer-to-peer feedback and mentorship, this ensures students receive an all-rounded education.

 

​There are currently more than 20 programs offered at CUCMS, with undergraduate and postgraduate as well as courses available in a wide variety of healthcare fields, such as medical sciences, medicinal sciences, psychology, physiotherapy, homoeopathic medical sciences, occupational protection, and health. ​


Campus Information

The CUCMS relocated to its current campus in Cyberjaya in mid-2018. With more than 60% improvement in floor space and the introduction of creative, flexible, multi-purpose principles, this campus will be able to accommodate nearly 8,000 students and ready the University for the next period of expansion. ​

 

Equipped with state-of-the-art education technologies, and 18,000 square foot library with a collection of over 50,000 books and numerous spaces for learning and entertainment, the campus is designed to encourage student engagement and involvement and to promote and enrich their overall CUCMS experience. ​

 

The university also works with various student clubs and societies to conduct extra-curricular activities. One of them is a collaboration with MERCY Malaysia to form a Young Mercy programme in providing Basic Volunteer training before being given the opportunity to plan and implement a humanitarian project. This programme is unique among the universities in Malaysia as it allows our students to experience volunteer relief operations first hand and contribute to the betterment of society.


Accommodation

The Varsity Lodge is a residential hostel that has a capacity of 1,500 residents. It provides students with a spacious living atmosphere throughout the year. The Building and Facilities Management Office administer a smooth and safe running of the apartment with an Operational Manager and security guards available to assist students at all times.

Every unit will be occupied by 8 students and two students per room. Each apartment is about 1180 sq.ft, which consists of 4 rooms, 3 bathrooms, 1 shared living room and a kitchen area. There is also a shuttle bus service available that transports students between the campus and Varsity Lodge, which is situated a mere 10 minutes from the campus.
