About Campus

Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) is a private university with the status of a Government Link University (GLU); Tenaga Nasional Berhad ( TNB) is wholly owned. Universiti Tenaga Nasional operates from two campuses; Bandar Muadzam Shah, Pahang, has one main campus in Putrajaya and the other. Founded in 1976, Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) is one of Malaysia’s first private universities. Until 1997, it was formerly called Institut Latihan Sultan Ahmad Shah (ILSAS).​


Campus Information

In southern Kuala Lumpur, the main campus is situated. It is adjacent to the administrative center, malls, hotels, and resorts of the Federal Government of Malaysia. There are courses in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Economics, and Energy Economics at the Putrajaya campus. In Bandar Muadzam Shah, Pahang, the second campus, Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah (KSHAS), offers courses in Accountancy, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, and Business.

 

Facilities Provided:

Students participating in UNITEN will enjoy many world-class facilities. UNITEN has seven affordable and convenient apartment buildings on its campuses. It also has extensive healthcare facilities, such as the ILSAS dispensary at Putrajaya Campus and Muadzam Shah Hospital at KSHAS campus. There is also a library with 24-hour research space, Wi-Fi on campus for students, and 24-hour security services. ​

 

​For students who enjoy sports and fitness, UNITEN offers a range of sports facilities, such as a mini-stadium, an impressive sports arena that meets the criteria of a national athletics competition, an Olympic swimming pool, a tennis court, a football field, and a gymnasium. The new addition to its sports facilities is the Sports Hall, which has 11 indoor courts, including futsal, netball, sepak takraw, basketball, and volleyball. ​


Accommodation

For over 4,000 students, on-campus apartments are accessible. Bedrooms are either single or double and two to six students can accommodate an apartment.​

  • The non-high end is packed with essential appliances such as a couch, kitchenettes and sleek bathrooms

  • Deluxe Twin sharing (4 students per apartment) – RM320​

  • Superior Sharing (6 students per apartment) – RM270​

All apartments have the following facilities: ​

  • Space inventory: single bed & mattress, side table, wardrobe, walk-in closet, ceiling fan and lamp; ​
  • The Warden of the Student Units shall ensure that all losses are promptly remedied
