UTP students proof that integration between nations can happen. The average population make campus life very exciting. Students from various background help the rest of the students to learn and respect each other despite racial background, religion, gender and culture.
Academic life at UTP is at its very best. The up-to-date syllabus ensures that UTP students are on the same train with the industry and its key players. The academic quality really shapes the students to be the first human being.
How is the academic life at this university/college?
Academic life becomes struggle-free when the teachers are interactive and helpful to the students. At IUMW, Our own faculties, Teachers from UM and Teachers from Wales are always very helpful and co-operative to the students. No unnecessary strictness is applied. So its better for students. But that doesn’t mean they compromise quality of education and experience! With flexible course plan, co-curriculum events and many many other events, you will feel like home! From my experience, as a student, It is easy to get good grades here because the teaching and student evaluation strategy is advanced. Facilities are designed by prioritizing the students. You will learn more, you can develop ourselves more and at the same time you can earn better grades! So, its a win-win situation!
What are the students like?
IUMW is an international university. So we have many international students from around the world from countries like USA, China, Kazakhstan, Bangladesh Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Philippine, Iraq, Iran and many more. We also have good amount of local students. The friendship between countries is a great opportunity to learn and experience other nations. Here at IUMW, Its our home, so every students regardless of their nation or race or culture, we all feel its our family.
What do students do when not studying?
Tell us about the social and sports life. Our university is very very active in co-curriculum activities. You will find your thing of interest for sure. And if you dont find, you can create your own club! We have many clubs like International Students Association, Creative Media Society, Indian Culture club, Islamic Culture Club, Futsal Club, Psychology club, Martial Arts club, Business Students Association, Computer Club etc. Honestly speaking, If we go to uni for class maybe 4 days a week, But we go to uni 5 days a week to get ourselves busy in other activity. COOL thing is, upon your contribution to these activity, I mean co-curriculum activities, you can actually earn marks which will increase your CGPA! Isin’t it cool!
What is your overall opinion about this university/college?
Studing in IUMW is a great opportunity. You will have many unique facilities which you will get nowhere else! Facilities like: UM’s teachers, UM’s Stuff, all UM’s campus facility including library, accommodation, gymnasium, Uni of Wales’s teachers etc. Dual Award: Another Unique facility is “DUAL AWARD”. As you know, the name is International University of Malaya-Wales, So we have partnership with Wales. We have teachers from Wales also. You can have a chance to go to wales to finish your degree also! Or you can complete here in and get dual degree.
The campus is really beautiful and people are very helpful. IUMW is the first university in South East Asia to be accepted as a member of the United Kingdom’s Higher Education Academy (HEA), a renowned British body for learning and teaching in higher education.
