UNITAR International University is a private higher educational institution in Malaysia. It was known for being the first virtual university in Southeast Asia and is officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi (Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia).
The university aims to be a platform for lifelong learning opportunities for students at any stage of their lives. They have collaborated with a few Independent Territorial Centers with more than, 9,000 learners in 60 academic programs. The programmes were endorsed by the Malaysia Ministry of Higher Education and offer the following: Foundation, Diploma, Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate. All of these surpass the guidelines required of the Malaysian Qualifications Agency.
They have over 40 programmes that provide a pathway to a brighter future for students who want to pursue internationally recognized degrees at affordable costs. Coupled with the university’s principles of a modern education culture referred to as C.A.R.E (Collaborative, Adaptive, Reflective and Entrepreneurial) instilled throughout their time at university, UNITAR graduates emerge bright and industry-ready to take on the future.

On-campus
Within the campus is 10 blocks of 5-storey hostel accommodation. The hostel is on a twin-sharing basis and is equipped with beds, wardrobes, study tables and chairs. Their facilities include:
Off-Campus
The university provides off-campus accommodation at Danau Kota, located 3km from the KL main campus.
Another residency is Teratai Residency, a 28-storey building comprising of 448 units with the choice of air-conditioned/non-air-conditioned rooms in each unit. The facilities include:
International students who are interested in on-campus accommodation are required to complete and send the Hostel Application Form to the International Student Office as soon as possible, as the hostel rooms are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
Apartments, condominiums and houses for rent are available for International students who prefer to stay off-campus at nearby housing areas within the vicinity of the University College.
