Curtin University was born out of an alliance between Curtin University in Australia and the State Government of Sarawak.
With over 45 nationalities represented on the campus, students will have the opportunity to study on a unique location on the west coast of Sarawak with 187,000 hectares of the coastal reef on their doorstep and a tropical 140-million-year-old rain forest.
The university gives students the rare opportunity to take internationally recognised courses right in the heart of tropical East Malaysia from a celebrated Australian university. The degrees awarded in Malaysia are exactly the same as those offered in Australia. The only difference is the lush greenery of surrounding tropical rainforests and vast sounds of nature in the background to accompany you.
The impressive 300-acre campus of Curtin Malaysia opened in 2002, Miri.
The campus is surrounded by lush greenery interspersed with lakes built by man that attract a number of migratory and water birds. On the grounds, enjoy a wide range of facilities and buzz of activity that enhance the student experience. From social outings, clubs and societies, retail outlets, eateries and breathtaking scenery to unwind by, the relaxed atmosphere of the campus is a calm, inspiring place away from the city’s bustle.
