Overview

MyBrain15 was formed to attract and cultivate a community of young, high caliber intellectuals with the aim of encouraging research and innovation growth in the country.​

This scholarship is split into MyMaster and MyPhD.


Eligibility

MyMasters​:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent recognized by the Government with a CGPA of 2.75 – 4.00 or equivalent; or​
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent recognized by the Government with a CGPA of 2.50 – 2.74 or equivalent work experience in a related field at least 3 years​
  • Aged at least 30 years old and get the Certificate of Accreditation of Prior Experiantial Learning (APEL) for admission to the Master’s degree program (step 7, the Malaysian Qualifications Framework) from the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).​
  • Meet the conditions for entrance and has received an unconditional offer letter from the university or have started their studies at university. Studies must be at Masters level or equivalent professional certificate with a degree only.​

 

MyPhD​ :

*The applicant does not have a Doctoral Degree or equivalent when applying MyPhD. The applicant must meet academic eligibility requirements as follows:​

  • Having a Master’s degree or equivalent recognized by the Government with a CGPA of 3:00 to 4:00 or equivalent; or​
  • Master’s degree students who upgraded to a Doctorate by the university Senate.​
  • Meet the conditions for entrance and has received an unconditional offer letter from the university or have started their studies at university. Studies must be at the doctorate level or equivalent professional certificate with a Doctorate only.

Instructions

  • Application is open year-round until 2015. Sponsorships will be offered in four (4) phases in January, April, July and October every year.​
  • Applicants are required to apply online via the MyBrain15 website. ​
  • Prior to applying, applicants must obtain an offer letter from a recognized institution of higher education and prepare a research proposal.​
  • Selection for recipients will be made by the selection committee chosen by the Ministry of Higher Education. ​
