Curriculum

The Diploma Program in Electrical Engineering is intended to prepare you for a technical career and to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in engineering. We follow extensive and creative content and teaching techniques in order to extend the frontiers of learning and to inculcate a probing mind.​

Entry Requirements

For Malaysian Students:​

  • SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia) : Pass SPM with minimum credits in 3 subjects inclusive of Mathematics and Credit in Physics / relevant science / technical / vocational subjects and Pass English in SPM Level
  • O-Level :Pass O-Level with minimum credits in 3 subjects inclusive of Mathematics and Credit in Physics / relevant science / technical / vocational subjects and Pass English
  • IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) : Pass IGCSE with minimum credits in 3 subjects inclusive of Mathematics and Credit in Physics / relevant science / technical / vocational subjects and Pass English
  • UEC (Unified Examination Certificate) : Pass UEC with minimum Grade B in 3 subjects inclusive of Mathematics and any Science / Technical / Vocational and Pass English
  • Sijil Vokasional & Teknikal / Kemahiran : Pass Sijil Vokasional & Teknikal / Kemahiran with Level 3 KKM with minimum PNGK 2.00 and 1 year experience in related field or 1 semester of enhancement programme
  • Engineering / Engineering Technology Certificate (Level 3, KKM) : Pass Engineering/ Engineering Technology Certificate (Level 3, KKM) with minimum PNGK of 2.00

For International Students:​

​International students are required to have English one of the proficiency score stated below to enroll in UNITEN. Diploma students who do not fulfill this English requirement are required to sit for the Intensive English Programme (IEP) and pass the requirement below before starting their Diploma programme.​

  • MUET – Malaysia University English Test​ – Achieve Band 3​
  • IELTS – International English Language Testing System​- Achieve 5.0​
  • TOEFL – Test of English as a Foreign Language​ – Achieve 500 (TOEFL) or 42 (TOEFL Internet Based Test)​
