Eligibility

1. Malaysian students studying full-time in Sunway College (KL) who are State or National Athletes (2 years prior to joining Sunway University – year 2018)​

2. For State Athlete(s), recognized by:​

MSSM/ SUKMA​

3. For National Athlete(s), recognized by:​

MSN​

National Sports Association​

4. Only selected sports are eligible for Sports Scholarships:-​

– Archery​

– Athletics(track & field, javelin, long jump, triple jump, high jump, pole vault, shot put, discus)​

– Badminton​

– Basketball​

– Bowling (tenpin)​

– Chess (International)​

– Fencing​

– Football​

– Futsal​

– Karatedo

– Netball (female only)​

– Table Tennis​

– Taekwondo (WT)​

– Tennis​

– Volleyball​

– Squash​

– Swimming​

5. Verification by State or National Sports Association​

6. Shortlisted candidates are required to attend an interview session​

7. Awarding of the scholarship is subject to the interview​

Instructions

1. Scholarship Applicant Form can be obtained from:​

– Student LIFE​

– Admission Office​

– Sunway University/ Sunway College Scholarship Website​

2. Prepare the supporting documents (original and photocopy) for verification purpose​

3. Submit the Scholarship Application Form along with supporting documents to Student LIFE within the stipulated deadline (refer to Scholarship Calendar)​

4. Scholarship selection interviews will take place in March (for February deadline), June (for May deadline) & October (for September deadline)​

5. Only applicants shortlisted for an interview will be informed via a phone call followed by an e-mail by mid of March (for February deadline), mid of June (for May deadline) & mid of October (for September deadline)​

6. Applicants that are not shortlisted will receive an e-mail communication
