Ph.D

Candidates are Malaysian citizens;
Must not exceed 35 years on 1 January 2020;
Candidates have obtained excellent results at the Masters level and at least a CGPA of 3.75 at the First-Degree level and above or First Class or equivalent in pure science ;
Candidates do not have any contract from any current sponsor at the previous level of study or the sponsor is willing to release the contract if offered this scholarship;
Candidates who are currently serving in any public or private sector and are willing to resign if offered this scholarship;
Candidates who are studying at the Masters level will be considered but the mode of study must be in research mode and full time; and
Candidates who are pursuing a Ph.D or have a place to study in the field of pure science either locally or abroad will be considered based on the list of universities that have been set by the Ministry.

Bachelor

Candidates are Malaysian citizens;
Must not exceed 28 years on 1 January 2020;
Candidates have obtained excellent results at the First-Degree level in pure science which is to get at least CGPA 3.75 and above or First Class and the mode of study must be in full research mode ;
Candidates do not have any contract from any current sponsor at the previous level of study or the sponsor is willing to release the contract if offered this scholarship;
Candidates who are currently serving in any public or private sector and are ready to resign if offered this scholarship;
Study mode must be in research mode and full time; and
Candidates are studying at the Masters level or have obtained a place to study in the field of pure science either in the country or abroad based on the list of universities set by the Ministry

First Degree

Candidates are Malaysian citizens;
Must not exceed 21 years on 1 January 2020;
Candidates obtain a minimum CGPA of 3.60 and above at the Science / Matriculation / STPM / Diploma level, Scale 1180/1600 for all tests in SAT, 40/45 in International Baccalaureate (IB) and 4A in A Level;
Students who are in the final semester at the Foundation of Science / Matriculation / STPM / Diploma, Scale 1180/1600 for all tests in SAT, 40/45 IB Diploma and A-Level ; and
Students have not yet received any scholarships / sponsorships / bonds from any sponsors.
